Art…yo do! :) How much Google did you buy at the IPo and hold.
Brian still ended up with a big win and now Medio.

Ah, the weekly Howard typo post. Gotta love it. :lol:
Cool interview; I’m starting to pay attention to the Google phone and I find it interesting that Mr. Lent thinks it won’t work out. Guess I’ll have to wait and see.

Howard - True Dat. But I wasn’t working at the epicenter of tech entrepreneurship (Stanford) or alongside the GOOG founders either. Reminds me a little bit of that guy that left Youtube to go back to school. Hindsight is always 20/20. I hope Medio becomes the next Google/Facebook/etc…

Re: ‘The Phone†How many pieces to this puzzle?
1. Equipment; AAPL, RIMM
2. GPS; Garmin
3. Search; Google
4. Data; Google
5. Ads; Google
6. Network; AT&T; Verzion
7. Widgets;
8. Bling;
I get the impression from Mr. Lent that, “The Phone†is going to be Web 4.0.

@ Richard - I am sure you’ve heard the speculation that Google might just buy Sprint/Nextel (GOOG certainly has the money), or buy the spectrum they need in an auction and skip the fee model entirely and make the service itself free and use targeted ads via GPS to pay for it. Then again, it is all just speculation, so who knows?

Abe: Yes I heard the Google rumor and didn’t think much about it until now. What I’m saying is I’m realizing just how big ‘The Phone’ is. Like man, I was listening to the profit Lent and like I had this epiphany. Wow! Angles and choir music, you weren’t there Lindsay, like, remote control everything from the hip.

11. Power; Full Cell; capacitor battery
“I need more power!†Sir, in order to use the TASR functions on ‘The Phone’ you have to ad-click to charge the weapon. “Shit! Ad-click, ad-click.

Cool guy! I like his candor and humility unlike the brilliant minds here who question his choices ex post facto.
Read The Search by Battelle and you will learn that the google guys were looking for a business model for years while working out of a Palo Alto garage with no prospects in sight. How hard was to make money from google when the entire world was buying the stock? Shit, even I made money from google and I’m not a great investor. Hell, you can buy it now and still make money. I don’t call that skill at all.

Hi Veronica, welcome aboard. I hope you’re a helmsman; it appears my mind needs steerage.
Come back tomorrow Veronica, I believe Howard is doing an IPO special this weekend.
