OK I have two observations:
1) I’m not getting in a car with Howard, and
2) I still don’t give a crap about satellite radio (neither does anyone else apparently)

There goes the compeitition to get the best programming. My guess is they start charging extra for certain content, NASCAR, sports, just like cable or satelite tv.

I pick Wallstrip!
And of course Blogtalkradio
Howard……..your a riot.

Hire the guy that said, “What monopoly? It’s only two companies!”. He and Lindsay would make a pair.

You know think I heard a similar sort of scream shortly after buying Sirius back when it was in the 70-80 $ range & then tanked.

In the combined interests of contributing to the discussion, and some shameless self promotion, I’ve distilled some caustic off-the-record comments from contacts on the manufacturing side for people’s enjoyment:

Three observations:
1) Today’s show is a “show about nothing.” Nice homage to Seinfeld. Love it!
2) Getting “sshh’d by a guy on cell walking down a Manhattan street. Priceless
3) Where’s my G.D. Bentley?! Tip on that: Make sure to reserve with Avis ahead of time…they go quick at JFK

Boy I would love to see Lindsay driving with Howard here in Santo Domingo, D.R.
So funny! Good show!

the beat the monopoly issue they’re going to argue that they’re in the ‘radio’ and not the ’satellite radio’ market, of which they have a much smaller portion.

Coments from Paul Jacobs of Jacobs Media….
Top 10 reasons why an XM-Sirius merger sounds like a bad idea:
Xm_sirius_merge_250 1. $19.99/month
2. Since when did the government reward failure?
3. Does this mean that the FCC will completely de-regulate radio now?
4. Howard gets wealthier because the stock goes up
5. $25.99/month
6. Voice-tracked music channels
7. 18 units/hour on the music channels
8. How come my (Sirius/XM) receiver can’t pick up my (Sirius/XM) signal?
9. If the FCC will approve this merger, they’ll probably approve local traffic and weather (wait, they already have?????)
10. $29.99/month

I have had satellite radio - Sirius - for two years now. It is a great product. I have it in my house and my car. I love being able to drive anywhere without losing the signal, and the content and wide selection of stations is great.
Despite Lindzon’s constant bashing, satellite is here to stay and in 10 years it will be in the majority of cars. I don’t know if the merger will go through, and I don’t really care. Sirius has the best content, so either way I will be fine…

I can’t wait until I own XM, so I can get rid of the stupid dog logo.
Howard is a whiny old lady and I’ll be getting rid of him when his ridiculous contract is up.

Thx Amy
Mel - More like Mel Brooks with the comedic way you have run the financials. Howard is the only reason you have subscribers. But he does whine.

Howard, this post was great. Karmazin and Parsons are drunk and dangerous. They shouldn’t be running these companies for the same reason we don’t let grandpa run the tractor anymore He’s blind and keeps trying to milk the dog.
Send these guys to rehab with Britney. They can start a jug band and charge $12.95 a month to download live shows from the nap room.

Lindsay nominated at Valleywag for hot vlogger

Howard, your lawyer should remind you you’re not allowed to call employees “Hot”.
Second: A Scion? At least you’re watching the budget.
3rd. Merger won’t happen. Guaranteed
4th. Rumor has it you were in Scottdale and used extras and camera tricks to make it appear like New York.

Nothing wrong with ‘hot’ it’s putz and thief and if its true, its not libel. it’s just a fair warning to others.
i owened an elemen until recently so i like cheap cars that work.
no idea really on the merger and these stupid stocks will never be on wallstrip again. they are out of my system.
I am in new york and it’s just as warm.

Funny show.
Two comments:
1. When I’m dead, my coffin will cost more than that car.
2. That guy was lying. Clearly he was a big XM fan– upset that SIRI didn’t waste more money.
Blain Reinkensmeyer One year ago
Howard, I don’t know if I could ever drive with you man! Well, perhaps if we weren’t downtown New York…
(contemplates some more…)
Actually, after seeing Lindsay drive that golf cart…

I’m a faithful, daily, listener. I only leave comments to inform what viewers think. They are never meant to be criticism. The use of profanity is really unnecessary, and should be edited out. The use of The Lord’s name in vain isn’t only breaking one of the ten commandments, offending Jewish and Christians, but heartbreaking to hear by those who are serious about their relationship to The Lord.

For those who love classical music, XM is vastly superior to all broadcast venues, past or present. For baseball fans, the ability to hear all games regardless of location is fabulous beyond description. For fans of Old Time Radio, Jazz and other forms of music, the same comment. If this product fails it will be a scathing indictment of public taste. I hope that the SR companies burn the furniture to stay afloat; I will be bereft without them.
