New Media basking in the fading, flickering fluorescence of Old Media…

  • Trader Mike // Jan 25, 2007 at 8:08 am

    LMAO.

Funny thing though, I’ve been trying to find a hardcopy of that issue here in Atlanta and nobody seems to carry BusinessWeek. Borders had last week’s issue but as of Tuesday they still didn’t have ‘the WallStrip issue’.

  • David // Jan 25, 2007 at 8:39 am

Mike doesn’t know I bought all the ATL copies of the WallStrip issue for collection purposes and will sell them selectively on Craigslist. I hope this does better than those condo purchases in the 80s.

I love when WallStrip hits the streets!

  • Trader Mike // Jan 25, 2007 at 8:47 am

Ah, it all makes sense now. You Trade-Ideas guys are just too crafty. :-)

  • kj // Jan 25, 2007 at 9:09 am

Gee, didn’t know she’s on YouTube too. Nor did I know size matters - for a camera. Perhaps LC should bring a monitor to show off her latest commercial, surely they’ll recognize her in those.

  • Andy Swan // Jan 25, 2007 at 9:49 am

TraderMike– try the airport. BusinessWeek is very big in airports.

  • AO // Jan 25, 2007 at 9:59 am

(walks downstairs to get this week’s issue of BusinessWeek)

  • Stan Yan // Jan 25, 2007 at 10:17 am

    Great episode — completely hilarious.

  • Trader Mike // Jan 25, 2007 at 10:23 am

Andy, I think I’ll bid for one of Lindsay’s signed copies on eBay. ;-)

  • howard lindzon // Jan 25, 2007 at 10:25 am

nobody noticed which character I was…..

  • howard lindzon // Jan 25, 2007 at 10:26 am

Trader - great idea. I am looking for copies on the streets of new york.

    Get your ass down here.

  • Trader Mike // Jan 25, 2007 at 10:32 am

I’m pulling the jet around now

  • howard lindzon // Jan 25, 2007 at 10:41 am

did you not see yesterday’s show, our jet would have to take off from atlanta and refuel in buckhead

  • Me3tv // Jan 25, 2007 at 11:00 am

I am going to post this on my hometown blog. We have at least 6 people in Chumuckla, Florida who will watch your show. Forget NYC - they have no time to read in that town.

  • Bob // Jan 25, 2007 at 11:25 am

I subscribe to BW and had read the article on Wallstrip. I like Wallstrip; it’s a refreshing break during the day from the usual Wall Street fare. Sign me up for the IPO.

  • Shane // Jan 25, 2007 at 12:33 pm

Our mail here is a bit slow in central IL and by the time I get it the title on the Mag is Business Monthly. It’s a bit slow getting here as well, the last issue said there was a hot new gaming system called 3DO that was going to revolutionize gaming. I can’t seem to find one anywhere. I love the streets of New York. They’re sooooo friendly

  • Juxtaviews - » 6 Leading Ladies of Vidcasts // Jan 25, 2007 at 12:36 pm

[…] Moving forward Juxtaviews will be paying attention to whether or not video will kill the blogger. That’s a much larger discussion because the term “blogger” has grown to encompass so many different beasts. Let’s just take WallStrip for example. For the most part I think you could take the news and editorial content found in a normal Wallstrip vidcast, (today’s format is a little different from what they usually do), and run it word for word as a blog post no problem. In fact, I think their vidcasts would translate very well to a blog posts, but would they be as successful if they were just in writing? I think not. […]

  • Spike // Jan 25, 2007 at 12:44 pm

    LOL great show.

  • Blain Reinkensmeyer // Jan 25, 2007 at 12:46 pm

lol, nice work. That is funny stuff.

  • Kristine // Jan 25, 2007 at 2:02 pm

I like the occasional focus on Wallstrip’s personalities for variety and entertainment value (re: Juxstaview’s blog comment). Otherwise, the show might get mundane. Sometimes it makes us LOL and always, we learn something even if it’s just to laugh at ourselves!

  • Fresh Bread // Jan 25, 2007 at 2:07 pm

    Right on Kris.

  • howard lindzon // Jan 25, 2007 at 2:12 pm

wow - mhp is definately wallstrip worthy in their price performance.

    thx tlrtaxi for the tip

  • joy // Jan 25, 2007 at 4:04 pm

  • Stefan Ruehle // Jan 25, 2007 at 7:01 pm

jeez. why did the majority of people you met out there were unfriendly m*r*ns :) they could have at least listened to your story.

lindsay, please visit the offices of commerzbank at two world financial center and i am sure that you will be much more welcomed there ;)

  • Trading Goddess // Jan 25, 2007 at 7:46 pm

I thank *whoever you want - just fill in the blank* for fresh, humorous, down-to-earth people like Howard and Lindsay!

Not afraid to poke fun, keeping things hip, fun, and on the edge! Thanks for making people interested in the stock market!

One last thing… Howard…just how big IS your camera? ;)

  • Bret Carpenter // Jan 25, 2007 at 8:10 pm

Lindsay I would interview with you in a heartbeat.

  • Zentrader // Jan 25, 2007 at 9:26 pm

Pretty shocking to see all those guys avoiding Lindsay like she was a Leper. They must’ve all been gay. LOL!

  • howard lindzon // Jan 25, 2007 at 10:55 pm

    goddess

its not the camera size its the angle of the lens :)

  • bijan // Jan 26, 2007 at 12:06 am

    awesome show. great stuff guys.

  • Holishi // Jan 26, 2007 at 12:11 am

    Hi Folks,

This is my first time on this site and the first thing I did was to scroll down to post this message.
I’ve been a viewer since day one, it is my daily dose of Joe.

Already remarked; however, I still found it hilarious the last interviewee’s comment.

Wallstrip is big; therefore, everything is BIG

  • Trading Goddess // Jan 26, 2007 at 12:54 am

    Howard,

    LOL!

    Tell ya what…

If you ever wanna check out the motion of the ocean in CA, look me up.
    ;)

  • howard lindzon // Jan 26, 2007 at 1:04 am

    Goddess.

My wife reads this site. Now that I am going to be divorced, please forward a picture to prove you are not a guy.

  • Trading Goddess // Jan 26, 2007 at 1:48 am

Dear Howard (and also his better half),

Now, what good would a pic do? I can just give ya any ‘ole thing that I lifted from my GOOG! You can’t be that naive to think a pic is gonna do the trick?

    I have a much better idea…

Why doesn’t the brains behind that outfit look me up when she is in town.

I am sure she will be able to vouch for my gender as well as your lens size.
    :)

  • Scott // Jan 26, 2007 at 2:57 am

    Lindsay: “Do you recognize me?”

Man on the Street: (thinking) … (staring) … (thinking) … (staring) … (hoping) … (thinking) … (Is my wife going to see this?) … (worrying)…

    What a loaded question!

  • Goran // Jan 26, 2007 at 4:04 am

    hahaha… indeed!

    great show, great community!

greetings from germany. you should do some covering on Siemens :))) it is worth a story!!! ;)
    cheers.

  • Mark Seremet // Jan 26, 2007 at 8:27 am

It’s so great when Lindsay hits the streets! This cheers me up for a whole day :-)

  • Mike // Jan 26, 2007 at 3:11 pm

Another great show. I watched it early (nice to be on the west coast when it is posted in the wee hours of the morning) saw no comments and thought everyone stopped watching!

Lindsay: Another great job. Too bad those NY people are still mean and angry at life. they need some happy pills.

    Howard,

    The background dweller.

I can vouge for Trading Goddesses gender. She is all woman!

  • Todd // Jan 26, 2007 at 5:13 pm

Lindsay is indeed quite fetching in that nice hat of hers. It’s quite fashionable.

Howard: As to where you were in the video, I always thought you were the naked dude at the beginning of the show with horns on his head running away from the police.

  • Trading Goddess // Jan 26, 2007 at 6:50 pm

    Mike,

    LOL!

    Thanks!

How much do I owe ya?

  • Mike // Jan 26, 2007 at 7:12 pm

I knew that would come in handy some day.

No fee - I am doing well with stocks this year. Wall street is being very, very good to me. Some long and some short, sometimes in the same day!

  • Trading Goddess // Jan 26, 2007 at 9:44 pm

    Mike,

LOL! I think the only thing in your hand is your imagination. hehehe

Good to hear that you are seeing some greenbacks in the market. :)
Are you still going long with oil and water? If so, what are your thoughts on CEO and SBS?

    TIA
