Spectranetics Corp., a medical laser manufacturer, got a visit from some customs agents today, who were investigating the transport of parts from an international source. That’s about all the information we have on the investigation.
We do know that the stock had dropped about 47% by 11:06am, when trading was halted on SPNC. YIKES!

- Federal agents visited Colorado Springs-based Spectranetics on the city’s north side earlier this morning, reportedly as part of a customs investigation, police said. At 2 p.m., they were still on the scene.
- Agents with Immigration and Customs Enforcement told Colorado Springs police that they were investigating whether parts from an international source had been improperly received, police spokesman Lt. David Whitlock said this afternoon. He had no further details, and a source with ICE could not immediately be reached.
- The federal agency requested a “uniformed presence” about 8:30 a.m. while executing search warrants at the company at 9965 Federal Drive, a police officer said.
