The best thing about Twitter is its either THE BEST micro-blogging service on the web, OR micro-blogging just doesn’t really matter.

    It could go either way.

Great splice up of the fight scene from Cable Guy. Classic.

Women taking a step back one more time, as this host thinks showing breasts is good for the womans’ movement? Shameless approach to ratings. When you have zero talent, you try to make up for it with this. welcome to porn. zero credibility.

It is anti-woman and anti-feminist to think that Julie has to sit there in a turtle-neck every day in order to have “credibility” or talent. Sometimes a halter top is just a halter top.

I hardly think thats the case; femi-Not. The fact that you jump to this conclusion leads me to believe that perhaps you have tried such a tactic to get attention? it seems obvious that you make these assumptions because you have absolutely NO experience in front of a camera or in the entertainment industry what so ever. Where you rarely have the option to choose your own wardrobe, let alone personalized “look”. I consider myself lucky to be able to dictate my own image on the show - and I am grateful to be able to wear what I want, when I want. I dont have a boss who pressures me to be overly sexy- nor have I ever been advised to “show more skin”. What I choose to wear on any given day is my choice, and mine alone. Exercising that power is, in my opinion, the ultimate in feminism - the act of CHOOSING for MYSELF. I stand by my wardrobe selections, no matter what scrutinizing people like you think. A womans independence and right to choose are the keystones to feminism; and I believe every woman has the right to decide for herself. How she would like to be perceived is totally up to her. I take full responsibility for myself, and will continue to wear whatever I damn well please.

Great point of feminism Julie. Give we are coming into election season this fall, and the American public will be made aware that women in the “evil” countries lack such rights and as American’s it your duty to free them and thus vote McCain, I wanted to know what are your thoughts on women in American that practice the covering of the head? Are they feminist because they choose their clothing or are they oppressed because they do not reveal their bodies. Julie, I realize this question may cause “flames” from your readers, but I am sincerely interested in a female’s perspective, and given the continuous harassment you face because of your beauty, it would be most interesting to hear your view.

Canada; I do not completely agree that choosing to not wear revealing clothing = oppression. If a woman chooses to cover her head for religious practices, that is her prerogative. I do not see it as a sign of oppression, unless it is against her will. For the US to ASSUME that all women in the middle east who don Burkas are “oppressed” is wrong. It is making a blanket statement for an entire population. I happen to personally believe that there may be some women who feel quite comfortable and beautiful in their native dress. I am also almost certain that there must be some ladies who resent the full cover up of the long robes and headdress. It all comes down to free will, and if she has the power to decide for herself - that is where the true freedom lies.

If that response does not get you respect, nothing will. Well said, and it shows you are an intelligent women.

                          Strong piece again “Wallstrippers”

Why the hell can’t people get past Julie’s wardrobe and accept her for the warm, engaging and charming host that she is? If she wants to show cleavage SO BE IT - it has NO effect on her credibility or doubtless skill as an on-camera personality! GET OVER IT AND ENJOY HER MIND as well as her body! :)

ALWAYS a pleasure to get a tweet or FB message from you Julie! :)

PS - NICE TWEETS - Hey SOMEBODY was going to say it - might as well be a “friend”! lol!

Buster thinks the content is great and Julie is unique and engaging. Of course, I always hope she has a unique and engaging outfit on. I’ll admit, if it was Glen Beck giving the reports, it would be bye-bye Wallstrip for Buster Bluth.
