Red dress is smashing & fits your body. That black rag is a mess…don’t wear it again.
Yep, escapism is great…Rome fiddled while it went up in smoke—remember?
By the way, Rick’s Cabaret stock is down…the dudes are going to the movies apparently…so much for lap dances & fake love

Especially in the summer time, people will see anything that comes out. I’m glad that some things are recession proof.

Americans burying their heads in the sand while a crisis envelops the nation? No way.

Everyone’s drinking the Dark Knight kool-aid simply because nothing else good has come out this summer. The new Batman is definitely good, but it’s not mind blowing like everyone insists.

According to the box office numbers, your opinion puts you in the minority. I wonder if it’s a little bit of bitterness clouding your opinion over the fact that the Christopher Nolan Batman movies are more popular than the Tim Burton ones? I thought it was mind-blowing in Imax, but that’s just me.

Agreed - the IMAX presentation was amazing.

We all know box office numbers aren’t indicative of a movie’s quality (Shawshank Redemption anyone?). All I’m saying is that when it’s 95 degrees out and your choices consist of the Dark Knight and Step Brothers, you’re going to go with slick action.

I know it’s really popular to talk about how bad things are in the economy….but people aren’t standing in line for bread…they are standing in line for iPhones, Wii fits and movies.

Looking at the movies as a form of escapism seems theraputic in a sense and hey the cure for depression is therapy right? im happy such an influential institution exist in our struggling economy.

I haven’t watched a full episode in months, and this one went to about 13 seconds. Horrible dress, but great (well, you know). With no cleavage, I don’t even get to the ad. Seriously, nobody on the planet could use this site for stock advice. So just make it more sexy.

Despite some of the comments here, I really don’t see a problem with enjoying a movie in rough times…..”having fun” and “dealing with important stuff” aren’t mutually exclusive….you can do both at different times, and a little bit of leisure time is healthy. No one would be looking down their noses at someone reading a fun book, but movies are considered more pedestrian.
