This was great - bring on more Mr. Bing!

        • Andy Swan 29 days ago

Mr. Bing should definitely be on at least once/month….but next time with a scotch!

          • howard lindzon 29 days ago

yes I or Bing should wear a smoking jacket and talk about life and capitalism and fooling THE MAN

Going to definitely check out Gil/Stan’s book - really funny stuff. Thx wallstrip!

We like to think we’re so subversive here at CBS with our hip web video studio, but Gil Schwartz has got us beat by a mile. He’s one cool cat!

One thing executives aren’t delegating- expatriating with their billions!

I think its great that Schwartz actually comes out and says being pushy and rude will help get you ahead in business. Finally an easy short cut to get ahead! Charismatic guy too–great episode

Loved this interview Im definitely checking this book out

This was humorous but call me pessimistic Gil’s words seem “easier said than done” , however, maybe after reading his book i will change my mind

Ahhhhhhhh, like a fine cigar and a peaty single malt…

This was funny & i would definitly consider checking out Bing’s new book, its interesting how being on the phone is now being considered an office location… talk about technology as a means for communiction

                              • Jporn 29 days ago

Julie, please go straight to porn. i might pay for that. I haven’t really worked in years, getting promotions for acting like i’m on the edge and doing whatever i want. I tried to get fired for 6 months, and got a promotion instead. i have too many things going on after work that interest me, so i’ll continue doing what i want — not what they want. once i’m done with my real passions, then maybe i’ll go with a company that i actually want to help.

Wow Wallstrip has sold out. Shameless cross-promotion. Having ads on the site is great, gotta make money but having an exec from Wallstrips parent company CBS on to pitch his book is just strange.
Anyway that guys book sounds great and I’m gonna go to borders and read it there.

Ehhh I disagree. It’s about access. This was a good interview and the employer of the interviewee seems kind of….irrelevant. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m on my blackberry today :)

Waaay back in the day, Bing’s work in Fortune motivated me through 3 full-time jobs, and a Bachelor’s, then Master’s degree. Someday, I was going to be the one black man in the board room…watching all the funny white people. Bing is the man.

                                    • John the Skibum 28 days ago

Gil is the MAN….he has an “inner-peace” approach in a fast-track business world! I am a recent “young” retiree and I’m putting Gil’s approach to use in reverse….trying to be productive around retirement. I agree with Andy Swan….Gil should be a periodic guest.

PS - Julie, we recently emailed about your spots on SNY…I notice on MySpace a countdown to Bermuda…are you heading there? Awesome place….the pink sand beaches are to die for…and the people are the finest anywhere! Be well Jules!

Ok, this is slightly off-topic, but I’ve been seeing ad’s on this site urging us to vote for Julie on the Playboy Hottest Web Bloggers site.
                                        http://www.playboy.com/arts-entertainment/features/bloggers/index.html

The site states, “Vote now and we’ll ask the most click-worthy candidate to pose for Playboy.com. “.

So does that mean if Julie wins, we’ll see her pose for Playboy?? I think that could effect the vote. (but she’s pretty far behind at the moment!)

                                      • julie Alexandria 28 days ago

haha. No, im NOT posing for Playboy - even if I win - which is highly unlikely. Thanks for voting anyway - I really appreciate it :)

If Gil won he would pose.

This interview is very against the Wallstrip way! And the guy is a CBS exec which is not cool. He has some good ideas though.
