Forget global warming. Its called “climate change.” And I helped!

People who aren’t doing something about climate change are probably the people still using VCR.
Obviously the climate is central to the economy!

Hey “ND Rules” it’s called “Global Warming” not “Local Warming” for a reason, and so if it’s cold in one place at locality is not evidence that there is no Global Warming.

Hey Rick Heartburn - Thanks for clearing that up for me. I didnt have full comprehension of the term until you clarified it for me. I thought if it was cold in one city it was the same everywhere in the entire world.

isnt nuclear still subject to human error?
also why the turn to nuclear when companies liek nanosolar make solar solutions cheaper than coal power?
Thomas 7 months ago
I do not know the figures. That said, I still think producing silicon for solar cells that can top the performance of a nuclear power plant is waaaay more expensive both in $ and in CO2 than producing uranium pellets for power plants. I also firmly believe that we can control that technology. I’m a physicist to be honest, but I think that the probability of a nuclear meltdown is small enough to risk it. Sorry. People are taking more serious risks every day just by walking out the door.

fav “earthy” stock - JCI. I’m long, have been for a long time, will continue to be likely, for 20 years.
