Meh. Not that funny. Not convinced she even understands what she is reading.

There was a small window here for enlightenment on energy issues but it got away.

Zzzz snore huh? What? It’s finally over? Whew.
This site should just become a big white screen with the words “temporarily closed for retooling” because it now officially sucks.
This show was horrible. Pathetic. In no way informative or entertaining. Sad.

It’s amusing how no one likes exxon stock and readily pulls into the service station.
It would help if images didn’t flash every two seconds.

Don’t listen to these folks Julie… Jealousy has a very ugly side.
And do you mean MY otter is covered in slime… kinda tickles.

Who’s the baddest WALLSTRiP host around, Julie Alexandria?
SHO NUFF!
Man, at least the people that complained before did it constructively…

A bit flat. I have to say that missing a day or two here and there isn’t helping…although I realize stocks at all time highs are a little harder to come by nowadays.
How about trying new themes? Possibly focusing on sectors? Emerging markets? Stocks under a certain amount? Going against the grain could help.

It seems that no matter how constructive one wants to be, Wallstrip does not want to listen. I can only imagine that there must be sooo many viewers that they don’t feel the need to listen to what is becoming a consistent theme - rote and mechanical presentations with little insight into the companies being presented. And while I am sure Julie is a consummate professional, her presentations are just a reading with theatrical “punch” when told to do so.
I find it hard to understand why Wallstrip, and especially Julie, seem to feel it is acceptable for most comments anymore to be directed at Julie’s dress code or sexual bafoonery (see Tony’s comment above).
There is lots of promise for a daily like this, but it might be worth taking a step back and re-examining the premise.
I know, I know - this comment will be tossed aside like all the rest that don’t tout the greatness of the show. But I have tried to be constructive.

Its not tossed aside, John. I read your comments - and i hear what you are saying. Unfortunately, its obvious to me that you really have no idea as to what goes into our episodes, and how many people are involved, and how many people have to approve them. It is impossible to please everyone; and what some people like, others detest. We try to find a balance - whilst juggling a full production schedule. Thanks for your constructive criticism.

I thought it was funny…of course, I was indulging in another one of my hobbies beforehand…

Keep up the good work. Whats wrong with a good looking girl delivering it? Would it be better for you if it were an ugly person? or an old person? or a dude?
joe // Apr 6, 2008 at 7:37 pm
This would actually be entertaining if she was naked

Julie,
I completely disagree with you. Whenever I see a negative comment about one of your shows, it always seems as though the answer is “the audience does not understand how hard we work.” I believe your audience does understand how hard you work; but to be honest, should they really care? You are in the information/entertainment business, and if your audience is not getting what they expect, nothing else matters - does it? In any job, you can work unbelievably hard, but if you don’t produce the desired result, it doesn’t matter how hard you worked. The difference with your show is that that you solicit feedback , and we respond in order to help direct. I am completely aware that everyone wants something different and that you can’t please everyone, and that you will make any strategic direction you deem appropriate - with or without feedback from people like me. But, I believe lots of folks like the show, and are letting you know that it has taken a strange turn - not as informative or entertaining anymore. And I know that you are just a front person for the show, but your lack of understanding of your subject matter does reflect in the presentation (nothing personal here at all; just fact).
Personally, I don’t care who Wallstrip chooses to be a front person - man, woman, old, young, dog, cat, elephant. But understand your subject matter, speak intelligently, but make it entertaining and at a level that a non-stock broker or daily market trader will understand.
I truly do appreciate your listening!

There’s this ghastly conflation: Julie took over just as the market went in the tank. And the whole Web VOD thing got old or maybe less ‘hip.’
So now no one can tell whether JA is less of a host than LC, or whether any financial show is less fun because there aren’t many new highs or positive market trends, or that it’s no longer so innovative to get this kind of ‘entertainment.’
Others will have different answers, but right now, I’m not going to blame JA. Things were more fun when LC was hosting, but maybe that’s because it was riding a trend.
But I’ll still watch, ’cause financial hope springs eternal, Howard watches these things better than I do, and JA is easy on the eyes.
I miss the Friday interviews, ‘tho.

Come on guys, it’s just for fun. Don’t make it something it’s not.

Tito - Get Michael some tissue…
joe- You’re better off watching porn
and John - go watch old reruns of Lou Rukeyser’s Wall St. Week cause your spoiled.
Julie - you’re all good - you need to pimp the strip to CNBC- they need the help. Have you seen FastMoney - you’ll know what I mean.
