Hey Julie, Show us your ribs

    Julie FYI:

In computers an OEM (an IBM term from the 1950’s) buys units and puts them into bigger units they manufacture. IBM first used it for companies that bought computers and included them in oil refineries that they sold as a package.

In Analogic’s case, for example, they would sell an ultrasound unit which would become part of a diagnostic unit.

It’s also used to refer to 3rd party replacements, such as OEM batteries.

In cars, OEM means the exact opposite, someone who made the original part, such as OEM brake pads which would be made by the manufacturer of the car.

    Geoff.

Julie, you ARE perfect! That said, you are so perfect there are waaay to few bloopers now that you’re here. Could you do just a little bit worse? Just for my personal entertainment?
    Cheers to a great show.

While I have tried to guide Wallstrippers away from some of their more base appraisals of Julie’s reporting “assets” and suggested in fact the best part of the show remains the content, the insights, the MOS interviews and the overall attitude of the show… I must admit… today’s presentation is truly worth a second viewing. Nicely done all around. I blush.

    Thanks Geoff -
    Very insightful -
You mentioned Cars - anyone have any feedback on the automotive industry? are they hurting as much as everything else?

So Adam says: Oh Lord, could I get a woman like Julie? God says: It’ll cost you an arm and a leg, Adam. Adam says: What will you give me for rib.
Just kiddin’. :-) HAVE A GREAT DAY! By the way, thanks for the Starbucks tip!

Maybe it’s just me, but I don’t think I’d be able to plunk down any money on a company called Anal-ogic. What is their ticker again (ASS?) Money headed for the shitter?

  • Chad // Mar 26, 2008 at 11:49 am

    And I thank you Howard
