    Eric Bolling on Wallstrip

I was just reminded of how much I miss seeing Eric Bolling on CNBC’s ‘Fast Money’ show. On today’s Wallstrip chat he gives some good advice on how to trade this volatile market, talks about what makes a good trader and even men…

  • howard lindzon // Feb 8, 2008 at 9:41 am

julie…and married jewish guys with two kids

  • Jason // Feb 8, 2008 at 9:43 am

Wallstrip - thanks for the interview. It’s nice to hear from a trader who’s in the heat of battle everyday. Please interview more traders. :)

  • bocagirl // Feb 8, 2008 at 9:51 am

It’s SO great to see Eric Bolling on Wallstrip, miss seeing him on Fast Money. He always has great insights.

  • Tony // Feb 8, 2008 at 9:51 am

Short the METS? Everyone has at least one bad trade in their portfolio.

  • john jay gebhardt // Feb 8, 2008 at 10:01 am

  • Bravo // Feb 8, 2008 at 10:15 am

    J. Huening-
Eric will be making appearances on the Fox network, as well as writing a regular column in Trader mag. Cant wait to see what he will say next.

  • Andy Petrowski // Feb 8, 2008 at 11:25 am

Markets are tumbling, and Julie is asking about “green” stocks??? What a waste of an interview!

  • Jennifer // Feb 8, 2008 at 11:36 am

That guy has “star” written all over him. If only the cable biz networks would nix half the know-nothing whipper-snappers they have on now and get Bolling in there… we’d all be much better informed.

  • bondeusche // Feb 8, 2008 at 11:48 am

Fast money hasnt been the same since Eric T has left!!!

  • Jason // Feb 8, 2008 at 12:02 pm

Hey Jennifer…..Bolling highly recommended AAPL several weeks ago as a buy. The stock has been free falling since. He’s no better than the average joe that is paraded through CNBC.

  • Fmle Trdr // Feb 8, 2008 at 12:21 pm

Great to hear from the Admiral! Always straight to the point, NO FLUFF! Although I must disagree - I’m short Dylan (arrogance…ewwww) & long the Mets (lets go Johan)!

  • Broker A // Feb 8, 2008 at 12:50 pm

Eric should start a show on fox, named “Faster Money.”

Too bad he left. He was the only one worth listening to.

  • JulieAlexandria // Feb 8, 2008 at 1:16 pm

    Hey Andy Petrowski -
First of all- I didn’t ASK Eric about green stocks. HE mentioned natural gas; I mentioned the effects of global warming and the impact it may have on natural commodities.
Second - if you actually paid attention to the interview, you wouldn’t have anything to cry about
Third - this was not a wasted interview, as exhibited in the comments above.

  • Tony // Feb 8, 2008 at 1:50 pm

Let it go Julie… there is another episiode Monday.

  • Soren // Feb 8, 2008 at 1:50 pm

    Awesome interview, awesome guest.

    Short Andy Petrowski.

Eric is like the male version of Suze Orman. Good advice without too much attitude. refreshing….to a novice trader (my day job is an attorney).

  • Danny // Feb 8, 2008 at 3:34 pm

Sueyo, Eric would probably slap you in the mouth for comparing him, even in a nice way, to Suze “Horse Mouth” Orman

  • David // Feb 8, 2008 at 3:39 pm

Great interview. I am happy to hear what he says on NG.
Wouldn’t mind hearing him in the future on what he thinks about other commodities.

  • howard Lindzon // Feb 8, 2008 at 3:45 pm

sueyou…pls don’t mention suze orman hear unless there is a punch line or a tanning product you must pitch .

    Julie—fiery baby…go get em tiger :)

  • sueyou // Feb 8, 2008 at 3:55 pm

    David and howard Linzon:
I like Suze and Eric better than cramer

  • RB // Feb 8, 2008 at 4:30 pm

Great job Julie! Eric was the absolute best on “Fast Money,” I’m sure a lot of people miss his excellent guidance. It’s refreshing to see someone who looks at the big picture when investing-look at his call on the grains, metals, energy…waiting for Eric to get his own show, much deserved.

  • martin g // Feb 8, 2008 at 6:12 pm

eric bolling looks like a nice guy and seemed to have migrated well from sports to wall street and interviews. one strong bit of advice:

    “commodities analyst” is an oxymoron.

small disclosure: i traded commodities such as greasy wool tops, potatoes, eggs and onions. all are gone and so is most of the money that investors play with in the commodity market. not much different then betting on sports. the house wins.

  • Strasser // Feb 9, 2008 at 11:13 am

Eric is great and mighty smart. Since he mentioned global warming, anyone seen this headline? “Arctic Sea Ice Expanding at a Record Pace”

    http://www.newcoalition.org/Article.cfm?artId=22610

  • greenskeptic // Feb 9, 2008 at 11:52 am

Bolling is a refreshing interview. Serious, no attitude. Likeable. He’s a better pitchman than he was a pitcher.

We’re not going to run out of oil? Not according to the experts I know in the oil business.

Doesn’t believe in global warming? “A smaller move in a bigger trend.” Interesting idea. Always good to be skeptical.

It’s not bad to become more green…less dependence on foreign oil, the world will be cleaner…he’s right. Bring on the new green economy.

    Long Julie.

  • BOCAGOLD // Feb 9, 2008 at 12:54 pm

    RB
    I hear that!

  • P. Maher // Feb 9, 2008 at 2:29 pm

Wow! Great interview. Can’t wait to get more of Bolling on Fox. He’s the hottest fox on TV.

Eric Bolling is such a pleasure to watch compared to so many ‘old hats’ you see on the financil networks. I watched him on Fast Money and will be a watching him wherever he goes. Great trader…the man knows his shit!
    Thanks Eric

  • praveen // Feb 9, 2008 at 10:36 pm

Great Guy. He is the only one who was worthing watching. I dint pay much attention to his agriculture plays (MON, POT, BG) when he recommended. All those stocks have doubled in a year. AAPL doubled since he mentioned in January 2007. Great trader. I miss his chartology.

  • Kyle // Feb 11, 2008 at 11:40 am

We miss you Eric ! We know TV takes up a lot of time, but think about doing a blog on thestreet.com regularly !

  • beanieville // Feb 11, 2008 at 1:27 pm

Question? Was he ‘very long’ on AAPL or was he referring to his male member? lol

    http://beanieville.blogspot.com

    We want to know.

  • Will S. // Feb 15, 2008 at 2:19 pm

    Hey Julia,

Great piece! One question though, does Eric have a company website/email address/phone number where he accepts questions? If so, wls2@georgetown.edu. Thanks.

  • Foxytrader // Feb 17, 2008 at 5:16 pm

Eric Bolling has been on Fox Bulls and Bears last few weeks. He has called SLV, Platinum and another metal this week. He is on fire with these picks…anyone watch that show?

  • Patrick Kerr // Mar 1, 2008 at 3:18 pm

Great Interview…Commodities are really rolling in general…thanks to emerging Asia, a lower dollar and it looks likely to continue for a LONG time…pk of http://www.OilGasFutures.com

  • Robert Horel // Mar 15, 2008 at 10:14 am

Please have Eric contact me. I am from Chicago and he was once my marketing rep from Mobil. My name is Robert horel and please ask him if he has a real rolex yet. He will then known who I am.

  • richard // May 6, 2008 at 11:19 am

Why did Eric leave Fast Money?

  • Maher // May 7, 2008 at 1:50 am

Why Eric B. left Fast Money?

Can you say joker bullshit clown Dylan Ratigan? The guy is an obnoxious and ignorant horse’s ass.
