“Sell if for 4 times what it is worth….” Obviously, she doesn’t believe something is worth what people are willing to pay.
Here in Southern California, we still have areas where buyers offer more than the asking price. I am happy to say that I live in such an area. Real estate is my “retirement investment.”
NY rents are astronomical, and have been for a while. There really are no more “bad neighborhoods” in Manhattan anymore, and I really don’t see a cap happening anytime soon. Luxury living in Manhattan is pricing out the artists, native New Yorkers, and young people. I am sad to say, NY is loosing the “charm” that once made it unlike any other city in the world.
I love visiting NYC, about a week every few years. I think think the food in Chicago is better, but the energy in mid-town is suffocating. Oh Julie, don’t be the golddigger, please. lol. i’m just kidding. You were hot in this video. Note: (trust me i’m laughing) Why does everyone use “loose” instead of “lose”? Phonetic i guess.
Mr. Daley failed to mention arguably the best aspect of Chicago cuisine: the pizza. For my money, never will some gaint yet thin slice of pie ever beat some old-fashioned Chitown deep-dish.
I can’t imagine paying $10K a month for something that doesn’t come with “acres” in the description of the property, but maybe that’s my personal Midwest bias affecting my judgement.
Do yourself a favor and head out to Pop’s on 127th and Harlem in Palos Heights…South Side of Chicago….They got a beef sandwich that will change your life…..it’s also just blocks away from the birthplace of T-Murda (a city-recognized birthplace for nearly a decade now)

I second Chicago eats. Nothing like a classic dog or Portillo’s roast beef sandwich.
There’s something to be said for Chicago real estate too. 4K sq ft for 1600/mo? You can’t light a match to that in New York.

You can’t talk about Chicago cuisine without mentioning Weiner Circle.
