Great Show! Love the Jobs reference and the new host. I like IBKR but I am staying away for now. Maybe I will pick up a few shares with the $1600 from Bush’s stimulus package.

Great piece - glad to hear IB is doing well. I used to work for Timber Hill on the floor of the CME and they are a good bunch of guys.

As is fully discussed at http://www.underactivebreakers.com, buyng stock in Interactive Brokers Group (IBKR) is a bad move, for many reasons, including the following:
1) Interactive Brokers Group has been served with a class action suit concerning hidden proprietary trading losses!
2) In addition, IBKR’s recent Edgar filings reveal that securities fraud was committed in its IPO, when it was concealed that 90% of net income is paid to a “Minority Interest.†Shareholders pay the cost of capital, and somebody else gets 90% of the money earned.
3) Finally, IBKR has a Peterffy Adjusted Sharpe Ratio of -4.0, indicating that an investment in an Internet Brokerage index, or even a riskless asset such as a Treasury bill, is a much smarter move.
As always, http://www.underactivebreakers.com is first with the news coverage that will make or break any trader. No, we don’t offer student discount subscriptions, the reason why being that we are so far out in front of the Wall Street Journal that we don’t need to.

Laffing Atib is full of it. Speculation is that he’s an ex-employee who couldn’t hack it at IB.

re: Laffing Atib
a scurrilous post full of personal attacks. posting a chart of the price of ibkr ending when it is at $20+ and not continuing to its current price of $30+ shows the lack of fidelity of the malcontent.
