Julie is doing great so far! I believe she needs a final test though: conducting a new interview with Dylan Ratigan. The old one is at http://www.wallstrip.com/2007/03/23/3-23-07-friday-chat-dylan-the-commissioner-ratigan/

Well done, Ms. Alexandria, crew, I really liked today’s interview.

I don’t think the album will ever truly die, because some of the best music is from an overall concept, or idea, and not some dissociated assemblance of songs. Mixtapes, playlists and the like are fun, but artists spend a lot of time and thought deciding track order and I don’t see that ever really going away. Diminishing, yes, possibly due to industry pressure, but gone for good, not a chance.

                    Hello Julie,

As the banking index falls faster than Britney after 9 shots of Jagermeister, I’ve decided to step my game up. OK, here’s the deal. If you wear neon on Monday, I will have my Gulstream 550/GV pick you up at 6 p.m. However, if you dye your hair orange, the Hawker 400xp will be en route.

Or, if you decide to keep your hair brown, well, i’ll take that as a sign that there is still hope.

And don’t worry about not right now understanding cash flows, discounted models, the Sox from socks, or a carry-trade based on the yen….those clowns generally are the ones that are still long Ambac at 80 and “doubling down”.

Abe - I agree with you, in that the Album format may never be fully extinct - but it is alarming how fast the industry has changed.

Johnny - I would wear Neon, but it clashes with our backdrop. And for the record, I DO know my Sox from my Socks!

                        Honus,

Your derogatory comment about Mr.Kafka’s hair was just plain mean. If you can’t say anything more intelligent, just go away. I found him interesting and smart.
