Always wait till the end when watching Wallstrip. OMG…”I like to look at novels and stuff just to show that I’m still educated and I can still read” LOL
Love the innovation at Amazon. Their Flexible Payment Service (FPS) is very cool as well as S3 storage and EC2. Not short term money makers but the right kind of expansion you like to see innovative companies make. Our company has personal experience with these products and can’t say enough good things about the product, service and people behind them.
As for the Kindle, I’ll reserve my opinion until I play with one, but man…on the web it looks like it was designed by a 4 year old with some old legos.

Classic last line Classic last line “I like to look at novels, just so it shows that I am educated and can still read†–The grammatical structure of that is just horrible! SIGH…..

Also, one more point: Not to sound to over critical, but DAMN, that FED-EX driver had one huge nose!

Very well summed up and interesting! It’s quite enlightening to actually see how everyday people respond to something like Kindle.
and oh btw, I love the smell of books. That paperback smell… umm umm~

I like the smell of books, I like to press a stamp in them that says ex libris (my name) so everyone knows they are of my library. My library is quite big and it does not fit in my flat. The girls I like are impressed by that and so am I. I LOVE books. In every way. I could never get by with a Kindle (although I eventually will end up with one…). For the moment, it just does not look slick enough to own. When they rework the design, I will buy one for sure. But it will never replace the books. Looooooong paper!

Wow, lots of thoughts on Amazon.com.
1: The Kindle is too expensive for me but I love the idea. I hate the clutter of books and would welcome getting rid of them and going digital.
2: I think Amazon is missing a golden opportunity not including graphic novels (ie: manga) for the Kindle. I don’t think the mainstream is ready to make the switch to something like the Kindle and are downright hostile to the idea. But what are the young people “reading”? That’s right graphic novels and they would pay a premium to look cool (and unique) while doing it.

I’m not sure if I’d want to invest in a website that doesn’t sell psycho-killer baby ninjas.
