If you are fat….or (like me) just a little softer than you’d like to be….remember:

              “Eat less. Move more.”

              That’s it!

You are responsible for your own body, and only you can fix it. Blaming McDonalds or paying Weight Watchers isn’t going to do a damn thing.

              • Richard One year ago

Weight Watchers should hire veterinarians. They’ll tell you how put weight on or take it off an animal. I was referring to LC.

You said it Andy. When I dropped about 40% of my body weight in a year, people would say “I’m jealous” or “It must be nice” or “I wish I could lose weight” in an almost angry tone, as though they were upset with me. As I shared some of the simple, common sense steps I took, the replies would be along the lines of “I’m not about to do that” and “that’s one of the few things in life that makes me happy” etc. If I elaborated in any way (”after a few weeks skim milk seems perfectly normal” or “you could gradually switch those six cans of soda pop a day over towards fruit juice”) they would get snappy or mad at me.

Food and weight are very emotional topics that can make otherwise responsible people act irrationally, and that’s probably not going to change any time soon. Junk food and fast food companies advertise that their product will make you happy, and weight loss businesses let you know you’re disgusting and miserable. Seems to me that if you buy into the companies that execute best on that play you’ll bank some coin.

                                    Was that a WTW commercial?

If you are going to do puff pieces at least strip naked so puff might be somewhat interesting.

                                    Wallstrip - investing for idiots!

Had to crack a joke Richard didn’t ya…. I wonder how their online presence is affecting their customer retention levels… I can only imagine the turnaround on customers in such an industry. Good thing theirs plenty of self-conscious overweight plp out there.

i love the way people dismiss the strategy and blog here. thats why it works. people think 60 pages of reseaqrch and an appearance on cnbc with a suit is what matters.

Strategy: Buy high, hope for a Fed cut, and hope to God you can sell higher.

it is a strategy guys. take a look at the winnners from buying high

Strategy: a carefully devised plan of action to achieve a goal, or the art of developing or carrying out such a plan.

Can I have another helping of, “Carefully devised”?

Richard: write if you ever have something to say.
Or don’t! Like a tree falling in a forest. Who cares!

                                                      “There’s a strategy?”

                                                      Exactly.
But then every scam does have a strategy.
