Always entertaining. If any company will be able to master convergence, I’m betting on cable, particularly Comcast and Time Warner.

Amy Base almost put me to sleep and I mean this in a way. Hahaha. That’s was an amusing interview. No disrespect to Amy Banse, but one day you are going to wake and realize that your definition of convergence is all wrong. And you are also going to realize that even with a monopoly you still couldn’t convince everyone to buy into your mediocre media technology and content. Your customers hate you because you refuse to give them what the want and because in most cases you are the only choice thanks to your intense and dubious lobbying practices. You are the cosmodemonic cable company per excellence. And you do grease up the Washington D.C. monkey like no other cable company in the planet. What do you guys know about technology and innovation really? Let’s see, sue the competition so they can’t deploy superior technology. Demonizing the telecoms for getting into the cable business is not an innovative practice, but you are in serious trouble now with Verizon and AT&T taken market share with superior fiber-to-the-home technology. Your copper wires are going to be good for nothing…perhaps you can sale them to China and get a nice tax write off.

Let’s see do I take a 100 mbps connection or your unreliable cable connection? Hmmm, this is not a tough decision to make. Imagine IPTV at those speeds. Too bad not everyone knows this. This will bring true convergence: I start watching a movie at home, but I have to run to the ball game. No problem, I can continue to watch the movie on my digital device of choice through the same kick ass network. That’s what this is all about. Who gives a shit about a cable company providing content? I got all the content I need alrady. See I’m shorting you and I’m long on Verizon and AT&T by virtue of their superior technology and business model. You have been nothing but a barrier in the U.S. for years. Your competitors held back for so long because the rules were uncertain thanks to you. But the climate is changing and the U.S. Federal Communications Commission last year issued its Triennial Review Order, which among other things said incumbent carriers essentially don’t have to give competitors access to new fiber-optic lines to homes. I put my money on AT&T and Verizon.

They are known as Comcrap for a reason.
                CMCSA is a dog stock.
Cable is trying to kill the internet.
If any company restricts access during peak demand, it would be Comcast.

Howard: thanks for the endorsement, but I’d rather be rich. I missed your last two movers because Fly has me in MVIS.
