I really really did not need to see this video first thing this morning
For breakfast I had painkillers to help control the toothache pain as I wait for my ‘emergency’ dental appointment at 1.30 pm.
If nothing else a chance for some research in to the movers and shakers in the Dental Supply arena in the UK!

Dary -
thanks - exactly the reason we cover stocks at all-time highs. It is a great place to start research on companies and industries.
schein is a big european dental supplier whose stock has been a rip roarer

PDCO -
Eddie (crossing wall street) has covered this stock on his watch list in detail

It has struggled of late and not as pure a play on teeth and guns but one to watch for sure.

…and then what happened Howard? Should we buy or just go after the diamonds?

That guy IS a natural!
Lindsay - why did we even go to grad school for acting? We could have gone to dental school, been just as good, and never have to sell pints of blood for bread-crumbs. …sigh…

Just back from the Dentist. Oh dear, I have to get a wisdom tooth removed. Aghhh….
At the end of the dental appointment I asked my dentist which suppliers he used. So we decided to look through his supply cupboard. After taking out a few items he produced a tub of something or other made by Dentsply. I then had a brief chat with the person who orders the supplies and according to her Dentsply have good products!
What was interesting was that all of the other products that the dentist removed from his cupboard were made by 3M. Looking at 3M’s (MMM) price chart it would appear that they have not fared so well since James McNerney moved to Boeing. Talking about Boeing (BA) there is a company that has performed well over the last 3 years and possibly deserving of a slot on Wallstrip!

[…] Yesterday there was a very funny Wallstrip feature on Dentsply (XRAY), who are supplier of dental products. At the time I winced in pain watching the dental surgery sketch, as I was just about to leave for an emergency dental appointment. After the dental appointment was over I had a chat with the dentist an asked him if they used Dentsply products? He offered to take a look through his supply cupboard and pulled out a variety of instruments and products before producing a tub of something or other from Dentsply. What was interesting was that every other product that the Dentist removed from his supply cupboard was made by 3M (MMM). […]

Yes, he should definately buy!!! He should buy some new equipment. That equipment in his office is obsolete. That stuff is what should go in the dumpster. I was taking that stuff out of offices and sending it to the dumpster 20 years ago and more!
