There was a dog tinkeling in the background in one of Lindsay’s interviews. I think it was the third interview and the dog is in the lower left hand corner of the video.

Your next challenge is to find Waldo hidden somewhere in this episode. (Hint: he’s not in the dog park scene.)

that was not a dog - it was da polah bears!
and it was two dogs peeing.
I am intrigued by this stock. real sales, but do not own this

There is a reason why all New York based shows take it to the streets and you can see it in this episode. You couldn’t write things funnier than what comes out of their mouths. Great show

Darn. Tom saw it and posted before I could get here. Yes, that is hilarious to hear of the people’s mistrust towards the government and musings of death on a global scale … all juxtaposed next to the image of a dog taking dump. It IS a dog’s life after all …

Where in the world did you find these people to interview! They were hilarious!

play on the stupidity of the public — check.
play on the vulnerability of the old — check.
don’t bother to mention ~20 million dead in the last flu pandemic in the early 1900s ? … nope guess it is not that funny. — oops
don’t bother to mention that vaccine production is extremely labor intensive, antiquated, and costly - not to mention long lead times. — oops
oh yeah - pick on Roche … damn Swiss German Bean counters, may they rot in … — check
hmmm - missed joke that … if a pandemic
actually does hit - forget about the friggin Naz, SPY and DOW … — ooops
score: 3 checks, 3 oops.
overall grade: C

Micro - I don’t think the man on the street in this episode portrays the public as stupid or vulnerable. It’s just how people seem to feel. Also, the flu pandemic of the early 1900’s was mentioned.
That said, thanks for the comment. We appreciate participation and criticism. Keep it up!

is qdel a real player though. Who is the ultimate flu play people?

AVII- spring of 06 they received results from collaborations with 4 independent research labs showing that NEUGENE therapeutices continue to show efficacy(effectiveness) against all strains of influenza A. If they are able to bring that to the table in a marketable product - well you can just imagine.

Is lindsey lip hosting? It is like watching a foreign flick with english overdub - not so much at the begining but starts to stretch towards the end.

Thanks Jzzy - I freaking am sick aof all the players. the tech is not keeping up with the quality of wallstrip’s work.

Thanks for noticing Jazzy. Something is wrong with Revver videos lately and they become out of sync towards the end. We spend so much time perfecting everything that it drives us crazy when it’s out of our hands. No worries, though, we’re working on fixing the problem.

Another great show - depicting human fear among the masses [of NY people] - where was the sex - the guy got the rock and roll and drugs in there, but where was the sex?
See Howard - everyone needs Vemma! LOL

I will only become worried if lindsey starts doing a jig at the end

What shite is this. The only redeeming quality is Lindsay’s cuteness, but that only goes so far. What did the alarmist prelude and the man-on-the-street inverviews have to do with QDEL? The question was asked, and the answer was weak.
I trade QDEL. Short since it broke the uptrend after putting in a double top at $16 (’05 and ‘06). As a matter of fact, if you pull up a 5-10 yr chart you’ll see that the seasonal nature of the share price and subsequent sell-off is very real. Has been mired in a downtrend since last earnings call. I crunched the numbers, and believe they stuffed the channel in advance of flu season. As the crude market has called an end to winter, so has the flu market. I also wasn’t aware that they actually dealt in vaccines, but rather rapid diagnostic tests. All in all, a very alarmist and inaccurate piece on a lame stock.
Two thumbs down.

fadethemomo: excellent !
i think that a sailent point is that … wall street schlap schtick is funny up to a friggin point.
that’s why the “Daily Show” has transcended commedy … sure the schlap schtick is there …
but there is actual intelligent commentary to be had …
innacurate … alarmist … lame … yup …
i decided that perhaps this should get a C-,
instead of a C.

Great show, sorry I missed it when released. I think it does a great job illustrating the fears people are spoon-fed by the media. The guy’s concerned about the polar bears. I wish I had time to worry about freaking polar bears.
Gotta disagree with you that nobody’s concerned about bird flu though. You’ll still see that pop up on blogs everywhere. Maybe it’s receded into the consciousness of most people, but habitual worriers still seem, er, worried.
