GS practically owns the casino, they’re the house dealer, so no matter who player wins or loses they still get paid. Wow, I’m surprised how timid everyone are, what’s happening to America? Also, this terrorist claptrap is getting waaay out of hand these days.

Jim Cramer secretly runs GS. BOOYAH!

FYI - the guy who told Lindsay to leave was obviously gay. Not that there is anything wrong with that.

        Good show.

Fantastic! Laugh out loud funny at the end! Serious in the middle. An excellent episode of Wallstrip. I think 1 million people should see this. How do we as viewers get this in front of others?

          • Yaser Anwar One year ago

Of course their secret is not out- haven’t you heard of the PR division dude who made partner? He must have been doing something right!

Howard- if you get any Goldman employees direct them to my resume! ;) lol

Interesting piece, and yes Lindsay makes a lovely, um, terror. Geez apparently there’s a ban on asking questions on the sidewalk.

Great show. In this and other episodes, I’ve been amazed at the “scaredy-catness” (awesome word!) of people on the street. Everything is so lawyered up it’s pathetic.

Better and better each day. Good job guys and gals. GS - one of the BIG BOYS!

welp… i’ve got to hand it to the terrorists. they’ve succeeded in reducing our existence to a constant state of fear, uncertainty and doubt.

someday we’ll live ‘freely, in peace’ once again… but not before bush is shown the door, america stops sending billions of dollars in aid to tel aviv, and the religious right and the jihadists are all relocated to new zealand (s. island vs. n. island)

good job lindsay — try not to get arrested aye?

                    • jvon One year ago

I’m sure GS has all their employees sign non-disclosures and would fire anyone who actually answered a question you asked them walking out of the building. That said, the “terrorism” reason was pretty lame.

I won’t be buying any GS stock anytime soon. Unless one of my funds does. ;)

It was pretty sad - first few times funny watching that shill for Goldman

                        She was profiled damn it!

                        Sweet building though

                          @downhill carnage

Always humorous to see the “tolerance of the left on display. If there is ever a problem in the world, I will come to you first to find out why it is solely the fault of the USA and Bush. Until then, let’s try to keep the inflamitory rhetoric off of this financial site. Thanks.

Cool…was that a security guard barking at Lindsay or was it Abby Joe ? Hard to tell sometimes.

When we do a show about any company that’s making extraodinary fortunes in less than exemplary ways, the conversation will likely turn polital. WallStrip is indeed a financial site and nothing is more political than finance. “Downhill carnage” was talking about our diminishing freedom resulting from the “war on terror” and that, and outrage about that, is welcome on this site, as far as I’m concerned.

Lindsay, I’m looking forward to the WallStrip show that gives examples of the “less than exemplary ways” that GS is making these “fortunes”–especially considering today’s show was precisely focused on the fact that “no one really knows” how they make their money.

legitimate ? … whatever ! … there is nothing cinsidered a press core anymore - shows that guy thinks a mouse is a rodent …
in any event - quickly ask to leave the property quoting some ridiculous patriot act like BS - meanwhile forget 1st amendment rights … ahhh yes the beauty of the golden rule - them that has it makes the rules. This was an ok installment … made me laugh at the ludicrous BS … and saddened at the state of affairs at the same time … but honestly Lindsay … you could have at least pondered at a possible secret ! … so i give you 7/10 only because it was chilling to see the stupidity and irony of the situation due to the gaurd … some much for SarbanesOxley (sp?) transparancy !

                                            • Andy One year ago

Micro– I did not know that the 1st Amendment granted the right to be on someone’s property without their permission. I did think that it gave the permission of the publisher the right to freely say things that were critical of a person, the government or any organization without fear of censorship. Judging by the fact that some of these comments remain on this thread without the magic wand of big bad Bush making them disappear (ahem…China Story anyone?) is noted.

Ignorance of the Constitution is not an excuse. And yes, I found it hilarious that the moron used “terrorism” as an excuse as well…because..well….Lindsay doesn’t look anything like a terrorist (mostly because she’s a she :)

Though it has been many years since I have left
my beloved NYC hometown, I remember that large
private buildings were made by law to provide
public space to compensate for the space that
their huge building has taken away from the
populace. At the NYU campus near Greenwich
Village, one big building that does not have
a public plaza like the others do, is Bobst
Library. NYU was able to enclose ‘the public
space’ within the building in the form of
a goregeous 10 story atrium (only id carrying
members of the NYU community can enter, so
availability of the genral public to it is a
                                                      sham.

Manhanites live in an incredibly small and
built up area. The sidewalks are very
                                                      important for New Yorkers.

When I saw that GS jerk do his paranoic crapola,
I turned livid. And it was useless for his
goal, because Lindsay can just skirt over to the
next building, and wait until one of the GS
                                                      people comes near her.

I respect Lindsay even more so now for her
response regarding using terrorism to fulfill
goals that have nothing to do with preventing
                                                      terrorism. Kudos, Lindsay!
