    No way,
i tried. i guess I am falling for you Lindsay. I like the way that you don’t circumvent.

Few things I like about WS

    1) Short and precise

    2) No ads upfront

    3) Cool Lindsay

$) Very cool companies and drill in to details real quick

I am long on wall strip like Fred probably way long

Very interesting facts about Scion, especially the part about them cutting production. Who knew? They also do a series of very cool events across the country. In fact, I’m going to one tonight.

On another note, I noticed that Scion was a ZipCar. (Was that paid placement? very shrewd…and Vijay thinks there’s no advertising! ;-) ) I’d never heard of that until I was in NYC in September and Adam mentioned it to me. What a great concept.

BTW, here’s the link to Bob Lefsetz’s article about Toyota & Scion

“Toyota’s growing dominance in the automotive sector is not by luck or chance. Much has been written about the company’s operations and the Toyota Production System. What has been missing is a book that describes what Toyota’s management philosophy and innovation is at the heart of that.”

It’s not a legal thing… it’s more “what the hell are you talking about” I thought he did the music until I saw on your blog that he actually wrote about Scion. That’s why permalinks were invented

My Wife and I always get a good laugh discussing how much those idiots pay to put loud mufflers and purple lights under their boxes on wheels.

I thought the ones that weren’t boxy were the popular ones?

Andy, you’re a party pooper… yesterday you were hating on $80 jeans, today it’s loud pipes & neon. Is there no joy in Kentucky? ;-)

Can someone pls push YUM to the top of the Wallstrip pile :)

Hey…why didn’t you get Lindsay to do a guest spot on the “Naked News”, when they did their show on the streets of NY? I would have paid to see that! LOL

Great show! Have you seen the 24/7 Wall St. blog? Interesting article there about how Toyota is gunning for 20% share in the U.S. market. I’ll quote them below:

“Leaving aside the fact that at $215 billion, Toyota’s market cap is as large as the next four most valuable car companies combined and that the company is upping its sales forecasts for the year. The most frightening announcements for the Big Three is that Toyota will start producing and pushing it Tundra pick-up, a move directed at the heart of Detroit’s most lucrative model lines and that it will begin to market additional fuel-efficient cars like its Scion.”

I really like the Scion. I’ve driven a few via ZipCar and I’ve enjoyed them.

Kudos on the show too! I really enjoy it.

Mike, $88 for jeans on-sale is a wow. My wife pays more than that. I try to tell her it’s the ass that makes the jeans look good, not the other way around…

Howard–I loved today’s show. I finally learned what company is smart enough to make money of the people that put purple lights under their car and hubcaps that spin when the car is stopped.

I hope tomorrow we learn what company is getting rich by making the WallStrip video such high quality.

Beats good fried chicken and bad tacos any day.

Keep up the good work guys

                                          Allen,

It’s gonna be pretty tough to do a show ABOUT companies that are hot without talking about 1) the company that is hot and 2) the product that is making the company hot.

Howard, please issue Allen a full refund so that he goes away.

                                            Allen,

A useless and inflammatory comment. As usual, no link back.

For our readers - Wallstrip is not being paid for talking about great products and Toyota we are looking at why it acts like a growth stock and not like GM or Ford

                                            The show is about trends.

Our readers will know when we are getting paid.

I think if Lindsay had been 50% more Christopher Walken in her delivery, it would have perfectly matched my mental image of how this text should have been read. She’s already mostly there!
