Too bad S&W doesn’t make any wiked good Desert Eagles’

though a german lugger or a semi-automatic would do just fine, Jack Bauer style

  • Derek Anderson // Nov 9, 2006 at 8:10 am

Fantastic! One question though…where do I click to look into buying this stock?

  • howard lindzon // Nov 9, 2006 at 8:54 am

    BEST WALLSTRIP YET!!!!

  • Nick Fenton // Nov 9, 2006 at 10:27 am

Anybody that appreciates a pretty woman shooting a gun will enjoy this episode. I just so happen to fall under that category :)
    Nice work

  • howard lindzon // Nov 9, 2006 at 10:27 am

I am concerned for the health of Traderx once he sees lindsay firing him. Someone please check on him.

  • howard lindzon // Nov 9, 2006 at 10:29 am

Nick is like 23 people. Day tradeteam is on the roll of a lifetime. Good work Nick.

  • Andy Swan // Nov 9, 2006 at 10:30 am

That show had a lot of firepower. I like it when Lindsay shoots straight with the audience. Overall, I’d say this episode was right on target.

  • howard lindzon // Nov 9, 2006 at 10:34 am

Most originl comment in a video blog comment section goes to…..

    Andy swan.

  • sc // Nov 9, 2006 at 10:44 am

Is that a knock on Wallstrip’s door? Climbing on the wall, leaping over fences..with 3″ heels..now shooting with the big guys. Could that knock be CSI, Law & Order etc??? Beauty and brains. Wallstrip, she’s a keeper.

  • Trader-X // Nov 9, 2006 at 10:45 am

I am fine, though somewhat excited.

It is good to see Lindsay getting some of her frustration (at not meeting me yet) out…there is nothing better to blow off some steam than firing a gun. Patience, Lindsay. Patience.

  • howardlindzon // Nov 9, 2006 at 10:53 am

Is there anyone else we need to know about.

I think Lindsay should dual with the trading goddess.blogspot.com

  • chartreuse // Nov 9, 2006 at 10:56 am

chicks and guns are always good

  • Bill a.k.a. NO DooDahs! // Nov 9, 2006 at 11:05 am

I learned from an expert on such matters (he was an urban chemical delivery specialist on the side) that it’s “ain’t a pistol whippin’ ‘less you pulls the trigga when you hits …” I don’t know if that guy is still alive, I doubt it, but he had a Pryor-like gift for stand-up comedy and his story about the soap-seller in front of his house was PRICELESS, but I’m not gonna type it …

  • Scott // Nov 9, 2006 at 11:08 am

Too bad the show couldn’t have run with the comment that S&W is the leading maker of hand guns and “while handguns account for only one-third of all firearms owned in the United States, they account for more than two-thirds of all firearm-related deaths each year.” But that would have been an entirely different and slightly less entertaining show!!

  • howard lindzon // Nov 9, 2006 at 11:12 am

Scott - excellent comment but we are trying to keep the video, neutral on stocks and politics and levave the opinions and voice to the comments like yours and the conversations.

The trend is the story and from you rrfacts, that wont be good for handgun deaths and i agree unfortunetely with that

  • howard lindzon // Nov 9, 2006 at 11:13 am

Tomorrow is a great new change of pace feature that we are excited about. Stay Tuned

  • sc // Nov 9, 2006 at 11:17 am

Hear that knock on the door? Seeing Lindsay leap over fences, doing a balancing act on the wall, 3in. heels no less and now shooting with the big boys. Could that knock be CSI, Law & Order. Beauty and brains. You have a winner Wallstrip!

  • Andy Swan // Nov 9, 2006 at 11:35 am

Scott is right. If there were no handguns, 2/3 of the fire-arm related deaths in the US would not have occured. The people involved would have simply sat down at a table and resolved their disputes peacefully.

This could be a great stock show: Correlation vs. Causation

  • jvon // Nov 9, 2006 at 11:56 am

Good stuff. I’ve been a gun owner for close to 20 years, and you get a much different understanding about them from that than from watching the news on TV. (Or from Dirty Harry movies, for that matter). Good to see someone treating the subject with a little maturity.

  • Mike // Nov 9, 2006 at 12:18 pm

I have enjoyed Wallstrip every day since the start except while playing golf (sort of) with Linday’s dad in SC last week. All should be grateful that this daughter’s eye pleasing appearence doesn’t come from male side of the family.
Keep up the great work on this very entertaining show.

  • Bill a.k.a. NO DooDahs! // Nov 9, 2006 at 1:09 pm

Andy, methinks you misunderstood Scott’s comment, which was related to ACCIDENTAL deaths by handguns. Your point, which is that handguns are a tool and that people will commit violence with whatever tool is at hand, reminds me of the immortal words of Archie Bunker, who said “would you feel any better if they wuz pushed outta windows?”

Of course, handguns account for more accidental deaths than long guns or rifles do, because: (1) it’s logistically easier to have a hand on the trigger and have the barrel pointed at yourself with a handgun, and (2) because handguns are primarily used for defense and long guns and rifles are primarily used for sport or hunting, handguns are more likely to be kept loaded and accessible. If they weren’t kept loaded and accessible, they wouldn’t be any f*&%#@g good for defense, would they? Nothing inherently political about pointing either of those out.

Scott, keep in mind that the deaths by malpractice per licensed doctor in the U.S. are several orders of magnitude higher than the deaths by accident per handgun. Visiting a house with a loaded handgun in it (provided your intentions are honorable) is safer than visiting a doctor’s office on business.

  • BDG123 // Nov 9, 2006 at 1:28 pm

Hilarious cut in after your host says it’s basically for hunting. I thought I saw a little psychosis while she was shooting. Nothing more scary than a woman with a gun. Er..well, pointing it at me would be more scary.

  • Dom // Nov 9, 2006 at 3:10 pm

Could Lindsay please bring her pistol to work on Friday ! That John character is scary!!

  • howard lindzon // Nov 9, 2006 at 3:50 pm

Friday show is really special this week.

also, please note that our LINDSAY SCORED A PART ON THE SPORANOS - IF YOU LOVE HER LIKE WE DO, please congratuulate her here or her blog.

She is quite a happy gal. Wallstrip’s gal. The blogosphere’s gal.

  • Trader Mike // Nov 9, 2006 at 4:47 pm

    Great news. Congrats Lindsay!

  • marc // Nov 9, 2006 at 4:53 pm

    1. great vlog today
    2. AMAZING ad tie-in at the end. I got an ad from GRAND THEFT AUTO VICE CITY STORIES for PSP!!! LOL! Talk about contextual! How’d you manage that? Or is just happy coincidence. (Either way, I’m buying it!) ;-)

  • Dom // Nov 9, 2006 at 5:04 pm

    Hey Lindsay…Fugeddaboutit !!

  • A Wallstrip Friend // Nov 9, 2006 at 5:11 pm

I loved today’s show so kudos to Wallstrip yet again. There is no doubt that Lindsay Campbell is a beautiful woman and you all are one creative bunch. I have just one small criticism about aethestics. Why is the freeze frame that you use to introduce the show more often than not so unattractive. It may seem like a minor detail, but it is after all your “handshake” with your guests.

  • howard lindzon // Nov 9, 2006 at 6:55 pm

Good comment - unfortuneately we dont control that. We will fix as soon as technology allows.

  • Mani Ulloa // Nov 9, 2006 at 8:26 pm

    I love the gun show.

    Wanna do WU next?

  • Jo // Nov 14, 2006 at 6:34 am

Great movie placement strategy, that alone is worth at least a few hundred Super Bowl commercials.

  • C. Maoxian // Nov 16, 2006 at 4:27 am

Loved watching Lindsay’s different emotional states — apprehension and even a little fear while talking with the gun nuts followed by joyful release (relief?) after pulling the trigger. ;-)

  • Howard Lindzon // Dec 14, 2006 at 10:40 pm

Just watched again - nice call chairman :)

  • Sebastian Schneider // Jan 22, 2007 at 12:56 pm

    Hello from Germany :)
The comments somehow remind me of the movie “Thank you for smoking” :D
I have never owned a gun, but I have always been fascinated with weaponry and armor (right now, I am trying to manufacture my own chainmail), mostly for the technology or the horrifying work hours that went into manufacturing antique items (chainmails, for example, where every(!) ring (thats several thousand for a shirt) was closed up with a rivet).

And, to express it the Ferengi way:
    War is good for business.
