as a recovering crackberry addict myself i can attest to the amazing power of these things… perfect for managers — they are great for dispatching orders, but absolutely useless for performing real work.
[…] Today’s Wallstrip converstation covers Research in Motion, the makers of Blackberry. Looking at RIMM from a Rule #1 perspective, the first thing to notice is that RIMM is immediately considered a risky biz because of the lack of 10 years of history. Of all the numbers, Sales have been huge which is completely expected of a fairly new technology that is now called a Crackberry. Equity has been up and down with the most recent year being less than 10%. EPS has also been up and down over the time measured. Currently, RIMM is not considered a true Rule 1 candidate, but the popularity of the technology cannot be denied so this may be a company you’re willing to invest in as part of your Risky Biz portfolio. Second day and still nothing but old rehashed news about RIMM and the Crackberry…YAWN! Yesterday was AAPL old news…if this continues I will be forced guess that Wednesday Wallstrip will feature YHOO.
Please put some content worth listening to in Wallstrip or you will see a classic short stage 2 rise followed by a quick and nasty stage 4 downtrend.
Bill - working on the comments - you are absolutely right
Joe Bob - if youu think she has to be funny you have vision issue which I apologize for. We are here not to offend. there is plenty of humor coming ASAP.
Wave 3. I hope eddie daroza knows that surf’s up.
Mikey - thanks for your opinio. Happy to refund. Wooops free.
But what’s the deal with everybody ringing the bell for RIMM…sounds ilke CNBC. You only need one anotated chart to show that RIMM is flying high etc..etc
Disclosure: I have rimm since August 2006 at $72 and has been pyramiding up….waiting for another buy point
please talk to us about SIRI. My stocks are languishing and ain’t no one talking about it - that I can find. Beyond tech stock, what’s made HAIN take off?
[…] Thanks to one of pals Dave Mabe, author of the great BlackBerry Hacks (available now from Amazon for only $17.22 USD), for the tip. Last October, Wall Street satirists WallStrip.com posted a video about RIM’s place on the stock market and commented on the device’s addictive nature. […]

Reasons? Recent YouTube aquisition, moving to break out of a symmetrical triangle, close to all time high, etc.
